Do you have a child aged 3 to 11?(30 Posts)
We’re looking for Mumsnet users with a child aged 3 to 11 who would like to attend NatWest’s online ‘Talk, Learn, Do’ workshops, designed to provide parents with strategies, tips and the confidence to talk to their children about money. The workshops are free to join and if you sign up via Mumsnet you'll get a £5 Amazon voucher after you attend.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, you can find some more information about the workshops from Caroline Edwards, Financial Capability Lead at NatWest Group below:
“We all want our children to get a good start in life, and parents play a huge role in helping children form their money habits – so how can you make sure they learn the right lessons? NatWest MoneySense is offering free, online Talk, Learn, Do workshops designed to help parents and carers of children aged 3-11 talk to them about money.
With a range of available dates and times throughout July, the workshop covers topics such as teaching children about money through everyday experiences, how to deal with pestering, and the positives of pocket money.
We’ve already had some great feedback from those who attended the workshop, with one parent saying, “The session was really fun and interactive. I felt empowered to not only teach my kids the best habits about money but I also took away practical tips to involve them in everyday activities that involve money.”"
If you’re interested in attending the Talk, Learn, Do workshop, click here to sign up and find out more. There are limited spaces available, so sign up ASAP to secure your spot!
When registering for the workshop, you’ll be asked to enter your email address, name and answer the question ‘‘How did you find out about this event?’ Please make sure that you select ‘Mumsnet’ as this will allow us to order your £5 Amazon voucher. You’ll then receive a confirmation email from NatWest containing the Zoom link for the workshop. We’ll send you your £5 Amazon voucher in the week following the workshop.
Please note this project is not being run by Mumsnet, and if you sign up you will be sharing your details with NatWest.
Talk, Learn, Do is a workshop created by the Money & Pensions Service and adapted by NatWest Group through its free financial education programme, MoneySense.
£5 for a *2 hour workshop*????
No. Thank. You!!
Can you please give your reviews of
Granville school and Walthamstow Hall in Sevenoaks in terms of
2. Nurturing and pastoral care
3. Cultural diversity
I apologise but I think these contribution "rewards" are becoming insulting.
Back in 2000 I was earning £3 an hour at a chip shop. It required minimal concentration and a minor ability to wrap food in paper.
For two hours I would earn £6 with a free dinner thrown in.
£5 is not a compensation for two hours of market research
Wow 5 whole pounds for 2 hours is a complete insult. To take out 2 hours of your time is hard enough as it is but then to not be compensated appropriately at the end of it is downright dismissive of our efforts and contributions. This should be fed back to the organisers!
£5 🤣🤣🤣. Doesn't exactly give you confidence in their understanding of money in the context of family budgeting. Couldn't even pay for parking or a chippy tea with that let alone buy anything you'd want from Amazon. Guess i could spend it on a nit comb!!
A key piece of advice that advise that in keen to pass on to my children….
Don’t get drawn in to a two hour workshop for a bank’s benefit for £2.50 an hour!!
It seems that NatWest only want to hear from mums who don't have a job. I couldn't make any of those times. (Even if I wanted to warn £2.50 an hour )
I thank God for leading me to the site where I met a testimony about olokun
temple who has done a lot of for people. I contacted priest olokun for
urgent help to save my marriage my surprise about this priest in less than
a week my ex went back to the court and cancel the divorce by his self and
call me to come back home there’s no need for the divorce anymore. The
reason am here now is to appreciate what priest olokun has done for my life
with the reunion love spell he did for me. I will also his contact
information here. (priestolokun@ gmail. com )
I think you’re exactly what NatWest was hoping to find
You should sign up for the workshop!
Does priest olokun also do financial matters? Maybe side hustle spells when his "love reunion" () main gig is on a slow week?
I'm so sorry that I signed up for this then completely forgot about it and DS2 had a hospital appointment at the same time.
I'm happy to do a workshop on money for kids, even without payment. Natwest was always good for children's bank accounts (piggy- piggy banks anyone?). So I've signed up.
But yes on the remuneration being a bit low for 2 hours. Either pay or don't. £5 on Amazon? I sell online and can make more than that for 10 mins listing time.
More outdoor activities: do sports, go to the beach, hiking and so on. If the weather permits. Create some funny indoor activities: DIY arts and crafts, some educational toys and games.
* With a range of available dates and times throughout July,*
I wonder if they bothered to get back to anyone given this went down like a sack of potatoes!
