Fancy finding out about Coca-Cola Zero Sugar? Event in London on 30 June - £200 to be won! NOW CLOSED

AnnMumsnet · 06/06/2016 11:21

We have been asked by the team at Coca-Cola Great Britain to find between 25-50 MNers to attend a special event to introduce Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and to ask questions of the senior team at Coke HQ.

The event will take place:
Date: Thursday 30th June
Time: 11.30am – 2pm
~ attendees will need to stay for the whole session and will receive a goody bag as they leave
Venue: Central London, nearest Tube: Oxford Circus
Food & Drink: Coca-Cola Zero Sugar taste session followed by lunch

The event is aimed at adults who like a sparkling soft drink and are interested in trying no sugar options.

They say “Coca-Cola Great Britain is launching Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, a new and improved sugar-free Coca-Cola which will replace Coca-Cola Zero. It will taste more like Coke and look more like Coke but without the sugar. It is the result of years of innovation and recipe development and will replace Coca-Cola Zero which was launched in 2006. We’d love to give MNers a chance to be one of the first to give us and try and tell us what they think.”

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the drinks that Coca-Cola offers – they make and sell 18 different brands including favourites like Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Dr Pepper, Schweppes, smartwater and more. There will be experts on hand to answer any questions you might have about the drinks.

Note
With regret no under 18’s can attend.
You will need to make your own way to the event and no travel costs will be paid
The team at Coca-Cola Great Britain would like to photograph/film the event, (maybe do some voxpops) and potentially use the content on their digital channels so all participants will need to sign release forms on the day.

We’re also looking for 100 non attending MNers, to try Coca-Cola Zero Sugar at home and share their feedback on MN. So, if you’re unable to attend, but would like to try at home, please add your details here. Those selected will then be sent a sample of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and asked to share your views on MN on the taste. All non-attendees who try Coca-Cola Zero Sugar at home and share feedback on the thread, will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get a £100 John Lewis voucher.

If you’d like to attend the day, or to try Coca-Cola Zero Sugar at home please add your details here.

Everyone who attends the event and shares their feedback on a thread on MN, will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get a £200 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

I prefer this to Diet Coke. Shame it's in London.

Signed up to try at home, I can't afford to come to the event - over £100 in travel, ouch!

The only question I would ask is "does it contain aspartame?"

I sadly live nowhere near Lonson but would love to be a non attending taste tester.

What sweeteners does it contain?

It's just after I go back to work unfortunately so I can't go. Signed up to try at home as we drink loads of Coke Zero and prefer it to every other version out there. We do try to stay away from sugar in our diets generally, but I'm still not looking forward to change... I had hoped Coke Zero was here to stay!

Coca Cola want women to do two and a half hours' market research for them in return for a goody bag? Are they very poor?
Not long ago market research focus groups paid £15-40 ph for such services.

They're changing the recipe of Coke Zero?

That sounds dangerous.

I agree that 2 1/2 hours of market research should be rewarded with more than a goody bag.

Would love to have taken part in the market research in London but it is cost prohibitive as I would need to book my DC into After School Club (£7.50) and then pay fares on top (£20).

I think Coca Cola are being a bit mean really stingy by not at least covering the cost of travel. Up to a certain point of course, obviously you can't have someone flying in First Class from New York to take part Grin

I would love to know what is in the goody bag {nosey emoticon}

hi - just to be clear this is not market research at all - it's designed as a fun, educational and interesting event to give MNers the opportunity to visit Coke HQ and be one of the first to try the new formulation.

tight fisted of Coke to not pay expenses and provide slightly more than a goody bag, unless the Coke truck is coming home with me I think I'll swerve this one.... holidays are comin' !

Well I've signed up to test at home. I love Coke but hate diet cokes of all description so hopefully it'll taste nicer!

I really really like Coke Zero. I've signed up to try this new one at home, so that if I don't like it I've got plenty of time to campaign for Coke to retain it, and also to start looking for an alternative!

For those taking part ask why there is only a 'diet' caffeine version, I'll take the sugar over caffeine any day!
