Are you looking to find an easy way to make great tasting meals for your family? We have been asked by the team at George Foreman Grills to find 11 Mumsnetters to attend a cookery demo event in Manchester city centre on Tuesday 16th April and try out a grill at home.
The event will involve:

~ Attending a cooking demo of the George Foreman grills (and eating the results of the demo!) - at a penthouse apartment in Manchester City Centre between 10am and 2pm. The demo will be given by George Foreman's own cooking expert
~ A chance to try out George Foreman recipes yourself
~ Travel costs up to the value of £30 each will be paid - with valid receipts. You can also park near the apartment. The exact venue will be revealed to the selected Mumsnetters
~ With regret no children due to safety concerns.

After the demo each Mumsnetter will receive a George Foreman grill to trial (RRP will be between £49.99 - £89.99 depending on product availability) and a George Foreman Apron.

The day is designed to showcase:
~ How easy it is to cook quick and healthy food
~ How versatile a George Forman Grill is - selected Mumsnetters will be shown how to cook a variety of food including fish, vegetables and even desserts!

For this we are looking for Mumsnetters in the Manchester/North West area who have at least one child and who are interested in finding out about new ways to cook healthy family meals.

After the event we will need you to try out the George Foreman grill at home and record video footage of you and your family using it. You'll be given some recipe ideas and tips. Testers will then be required to add their feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

If you'd like to apply to take part please add your details here.
All those selected will be emailed details.

Thanks
MNHQ

I've filled it in but there is an option not to provide a video. I've clicked that and if they don't like it they won't pick me.

I'd be a little gutted though.

Oh I'll fill it in then but expect not to be picked

Filled it in. DS has our foreman grill and has allergies so we can't grill any dairy products on it. I'd like another just for cheeseGrin.

Great to see an event that is just for us northerners!

I've filled mine in, my only question is whether it would be ok to film on my ipad? I have a smartphone, but my ipad has a much better picture and isn't as annoying to use. Plus I have constructed an ipad bracket on my kitchen wall using Ikea products that would be perfect for filming myself when cooking...

AllPurpose - yes, iPad is fine, thanks!

I'd like to do it, but won't eat meat or fish. So, erm. Seems pointless?

VeganCow · 02/04/2013 18:14

TheDetective, I also dont eat meat or fish but wonder if they will take us vegans/veggies to test the veg meals?

Hahaha typical TSC type of comment. Just pick it all up and chuck it in your living room. You can put it back after. Grin

I filled it in, but admitted I was a bit drunk when doing so.

Will this count against me?

TSC, don't worry, if I get to go, I'll film at my mum's. Her kitchen is bigger and tidier than mine.
