Christmas is just around the corner which for many means the present lists are out and shopping mode is on. Thinking of what special gifts to get for everyone can be quite a task, however good old homemade treats often spread Christmas joy the most. Cadbury would like to know your homemade gift ideas using chocolate.

Do you create little Christmas chocolate hampers or gift bags? Perhaps you bake a chocolate cake and use individual chocolates or crumbled Flake or Crunchie as decoration? Or maybe you melt your favourite Cadbury chocolate and turn it into lollipops or transform it into your own bespoke chocolate bark to hand out?

Whatever your homemade chocolate gift ideas, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

We melt chocolate and put it in Christmas shaped moulds adding nuts or popping candy. My daughter gives them as gifts in little jars tied with ribbons.

We make rice crispie or corn flake cakes in Christmas themed cake cases and decorate them with seasonal Smarties (you can get packs of red, white and green only). They go down very well at the school fair.

We use the moulds from old Cadbury advent calendars to make chocolates, some just chocolate and some with fudge/sprinkles/popping candy then they add writing icing pen on front when set and they go in little bags and are hung on the tree

We all have a selection box made by someone else (we draw names, we help DC pick the chocolate) so that we get what we like or what that person thinks we like it's more personal, more likely to get what you like, effort put in and the DC love the name draw and shopping, and are desperate to tell their person what they bought so we have to do it close to Xmas so that they don't burst Grin

My DFiL (and he really is a dear) is gluten free so I make a gluten free dark chocolate log swiss roll with whipped cream in the middle, melted chocolate over the top swirled to look like bark, dusted with icing sugar snow with a robin on top. He loves it and so do DC.

My mum also started a tradition when we were tiny of making her own chocolate truffles with soft amaretti biscuits blended into crumbs mixed with cocoa powder and OJ for the children or brandy for the adults, then dipped in melted chocolate and rolled in chopped nuts or grated chocolate.

I make chocolate reindeer lollies by melting chocolate into face shaped blobs and adding fizzy strawberry laces for antlers, pink strawberry chocolate buttons for a nose and smarties for eyes. They look really cute.
