Here’s the movie synopsis

“A dark force threatens Ponyville, and the Mane 6 - Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity - embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship to save their home.

The film has an all-star voice cast including Emily Blunt, Kristin Chenoweth, Liev Schreiber, Michael Peña, Sia, Taye Diggs, Uzo Aduba and Zoe Saldana. The movie features original music and songs performed by Sia, Diggs, Saldana, Chenoweth and Blunt

DD is off school sick so I've just shown her, looks like we're going to see this when it's out! She's a My Little Pony fan, Applejack is her favourite (we're agreed that Rainbow Dash is a bit of a dick annoying). Her favourite bit of the trailer was when they were mermaids/seahorses, and generally thinks it looks good.

I've just showed it to DD and DS. DD has been excited about the film coming out since she saw an advert for it in her MLP magazine. She is now counting down the days to seeing it. She loved the cake collapsing with Twilight in it and the music. DS loved Spike as a fish.

DD loves the trailer, especially the music. She loves MLP and she is really keen to see the film. She loves Pinkie Pie and I thought the trailer looked like a lot of fun. I'm sure we'll be going to see it when it's out.

My DS (five) likes the TV series and his favourite character is Spike. He liked the bit with the cake best from the trailer. The trailer is fun and I plan to take him to the film - he's very keen to see it.

DD2 is a huge fan, her favourite is Pinkie Pie. She liked the trailer and does want to see the movie.
We probably will see the movie but not till its at the kids (cheap?) showing or on netflix.

Forgot to say that Twilight Sparkle is DD's favourite and DS loves Spike - probably why their favourite bits in the trailer were the ones which featured them.

I just showed my daughter, she says rainbow dash is her favourite! She wants to go to see this when it's out, she's just got herself a mermaid pony toy ( no idea what its called ) but she was excited to see it in the trailer.
She thought the trailer was great, but it isn't what I'd choose to watch ;)
Her favourite part was when the pony came out of the cake!

~ My daughters are aged 9 and 12 and still absolutely love my little pony. My 9yrs favourite is Rainbow Dash and my 12yr is Princess Twilight Sparkle. They both loved the trailer and were giggling a lot throughout. They both liked when the balloon was squashed and someone said "Brian!" and when the cake landed on Twilight.
~I enjoyed the trailer. I thought it made the film look exciting, funny and dramatic without being too scary.
~ My two will DEFINITELY be going to see this.

DD is 9 she is a MLP fan. Her favourite is twilight sparkle.
I haven't shown her the trailer as she's unaware there's a new MLP out.
I imagine she'll find out and want to see it at some point but if I can hold off I will.
MLP is awful, I hate their accents and the ridiculous nonsense about fashion etc.

DS is a MLP fan. His favourite character is Rainbow Dash, he liked seeing them as mermaids. Verdict on the trailer is “brilliant”. We probably will go to see the movie, he loves all the Equestria Girls movies and was happy to see a MLP movie advertised.

Twilight Sparkle is DD's favourite (at the moment, sometimes it's Pinky Pie). Her favourite bit was when they were mer-ponies underwater.

I like the trailer - was quite excited to see that Sia is in it!

I hadn't heard about the film until now but I'll definitely be taking DD during half term

DD loves Pinkie Pie! We watched the trailer together and she smiled throughout and squealed "Ponies! Ponies!!" :) She loved the mermaid bit especially, and keeps saying "See pony film soon!" She is a huge fan and we are definitely taking a trip to the cinema when it comes out :)

My daughters are very excited to see this film...for ages they showed no interest in MLP until they were bought one each for Christmas last year, they have been obsessed since! x Looking forward to taking the kids to see this :-) x

Rainbow Dash is DD's favourite character. She loved the whole trailer

Yes, DD can't wait to see it, but we're confused over the release date as it was saying 7 October but now seems to be later?

Me and 7yr old dd are huge MLP fans. Her favourites are Rarity and Princess Celestia. She was very excited about the seaponies (we may already have bought some of the cute baby ones!) I thought it looked great, especially happy about Sia and Kristen Chenoweth being in it and will definitely go to see. MLP is one of the few kids' programmes I will willingly watch!

DS will never admit that he's a fan, but I know his favourite is Rainbow Dash, and that he will beg me to take him to see the movie.

I'm also a big fan lol, so I think it will be a contest as to who loves it more.

My Dd is 3 she loves pinkie pie and she says she definitely wants to see the film she thought the trailer was exciting. I thought it looked fun too! She was a fan already. I think we will see the film.

My little girl doesn't know of my little pony yet but squealed with delight when I showed her this. She is 2 so maybe a bit young for cinema but who knows!

When is it actually out? DD wants to go but "In cinemas this half term" is a bit vague considering different parts of the country have theirs at different times, what is the release date does anyone know?

My daughter loves My Little Pony. She is 7. Her favourite is Twilight Sparkle. She loved the trailer and definitely wants to see it.

Her favourite part of the trailer was the bit where the pony pops out the top of the cake.

I thought the trailer was good. A few funny bits that made her laugh and lots of glimpses of different bits and pieces that will be in it.
