The time has come round yet again for the Insight team at MNHQ to host our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year! Xmas Smile

We have had lots of staff changes in the team this year and sadly RebeccaEMumsnet is leaving us at Christmas to go back up north - we wish her the best - she’s a Star.

Read on for the chance to win...
~ A Just for Tots weekend break at Butlins in Minehead in May - this would be for a family in a newly refurbished Seaside Apartment with premium dining (worth more than £800) or
~ A £50 giftcard to spend at M&S or
~ A £50 giftcard to spend in Matalan or
~ A REN skincare Moroccan Rose Otto Luxury set worth £49

In 2016, we have given away over £50,000 in prizes - mainly in the form of vouchers in exchange for sharing feedback, completing a short survey or for simply sharing a tip on a thread Smile.

Our faves this year have been giving MNers and their families money to spend in PizzaExpress on their new menu, sending them to the Slumberland factory (and then hearing how their new mattresses helped make bedtime bliss), having a Wizarding Time with a massive MN group at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Watford and being one of the first to try and hear loads about new Coca-Cola Zero Sugar at Coke HQ. We LOVED your imaginary play tales for MegaBloks and we were thrilled when our baby names survey made the headlines.

For a chance to win one of the prizes, please do one of the below

a) Share on this thread what you have enjoyed taking part in this year, or appreciated reading about OR
b) Tell us on this thread what you’d like to product test next year OR
c) Join the panel * - where you'll have the opportunity to share your views with MNHQ on a variety of topics and with the companies we work with and chances to win vouchers OR
d) Follow us or retweet one of our tweets over on our new-for-this-year twitter page @MumsnetInsight *

  • NB if you do c or d post on this thread to let us know you’ve done it to be entered into the draws!

Most of the product tests, surveys etc are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely insight research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please do sign up now. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it’s not for you.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Smile

    Happy Christmas! Xmas Grin

I would like to product test puddle suits and wellies from muddy puddles (or joules or jojo or ...), I think my DC and I could have loads of fun doing that!

We would love to review some children's books. Maybe a good way of new authors a bit more coverage too.

I would love to test out a Kitchen Aid mixer - cheeky but true!

I enjoyed being on the 'My Fab Bag' product trial. It has certainly made me reconsider how I dispose of sanitary products.

I (and my dog) loved testing the Pedigree Chum pouches. We were thrilled to receive the amount we did and the hound has lost a bit of weight which was an bonus, as he was getting a bit chunky.

We were very lucky to be chosen to test a tablet which has been fab. I love doing product tests, even tiny things - but I'd most love to test a dishwasher or a tumble drier as I've got none!

Fab Little Bags were great! I thought they would just be a gimmick but it's a genuinely useful and well designed product

I haven't been chosen for any product tests - but if there are any product tests for coffee next year, sign me up - I run on caffeine!

My family have loved product-testing edibles. They take it very seriously: we get around the table, examine each product, score it for all sorts of things, open it, smell it etc. It takes ages before we actually eat it Grin Which is brilliant, really, because the experience becomes a fun exercise in mindfulness.

So I would like to test more edibles, please!

My highlight of 2016 has to be joining the Mumsnet crew at WB Harry Potter studio tour. We had the most amazing time there, we were treated like royalty, loved every single second and made some truly magical memories. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful especially as our youngest was travel sick on route! I actually cried with excitement and gratitude when we were selected and the look on eldest dd face when I told her; well words can not describe it!! Mumsnet has well and truly won a place in my heart for that.
Thank you team Mumsnet, wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and here's to a fantastic 2017 Xmas Smile

We always love trying things that can be eaten, things that can improve the home and days out! We would especially love to try a day out somewhere!

Childs farm products, vegetarian/ vegan things for kids would be a great idea to test.
My daughter and I have enjoyed helping test lots of little things this year. And the dog enjoyed the pedigree dog food!

I'd love to test a tumble dryer or heated airer.

I'm always willing to take part in any food or drink (I'm thinking gin, perhaps?) related testing too.

I would love to product test pyjama pants for 5-6 year olds. I wou,d say half his friends are not dry at night either, but DS is very aware now and knows they are just like nappies. There are some cloth alternatives available, v expensive, and he has rejected 2 different brands for how bulky they feel. Would be fab to give this a whirl and find a solution whilst we wait for this elusive hormone to appear... Hmm

I loved testing the PitRok deo, I honestly didn't expect it to be as great as it was & without MN I probably wouldn't have found out about it!

I'd love to test some cleaning products, vaccums keeps fingers crossed for chance to test a robot vaccum, steam mops etc or natural cleaning products Smile.
