The moment I most miss with my grandparents is the trimming of tomato plants. Tying in the main stem to ensure they grow well. Everytime I eat a tomato I remember my granddad's hands holding mine as the brown string is cut with a knife. I miss him so much. Just writing that has made me cry.

My little girl loves to go 'puddle jumping' with her grandpa. They jump in the deepest puddles and get completely filthy! She always ends up in a bubble bath afterwards.

We didn't often stay with my maternal grandparents but whenever we did they would take us to their local park that had a huge wood. My nan would make up stories about 2 squirrels (redy & Grayee) and my sister and I would sit engrossed listening to their mad adventures. You don't often see red squirrels nowadays but whenever I see a gray one, I think back to my childhood and those lovely moments spent with my nan.

Im 37 and lucky enough to still have all four of my Grandparents still alive. My Grandma especially has been a big part of my life and I love her dearly. She always did things with me when I was a child and kept me entertained. I am so thankful that I made her a Great-Grandma and shes got to see and love my three sons. I have so many lovely memories.

I have such fond memories of visiting my grandparents over the summer holidays. My grandad used to take me walking at the local nature reserve, and teach me about trees and wildlife. Someone's he used to bring us along on his guided walks too, where we were the youngest by about 50 years! He taught me a lot about nature, which I hope to pass on to my little boy

I used to go to my Gran's after school on a Wednesday, I loved helping my gran bake, it always amazed me at the variety of things she could make and yet I never saw her looking at a recipe!

Visiting my other grandparents was lovely - just sitting listening to all their stories.

My favourite one is as an adult, my grandad was so supportive of my driving lessons and always wanted to hear about them and told me I was a natural. The day I passed my test I drove over to go and tell him and he was over the moon. It made me feel really proud of myself, which I hadn't really been before I saw him. He then told everyone he came in to contact with!

My favourite memory is of my Grandad's 100th birthday last year. We had afternoon tea, all the family down to my 10 year old. It was such a special moment. He was quiet and contented, smiling as he tucked into his scones with clotted cream, watching his family all around him. We are so privileged to know a centenarian and to be able to hear his stories of the past.

We've just had a lovely day with grandparents visiting our second child so they've been playing with our dd and cuddling our new son. Happy memories indeed!

I used to stay at my grandma's and I loved going to the Birds up the road for a cream cake, then back home for a hot chocolate and watching Midsomer Murders or Murder She Wrote :)

When I was really little my Granny came to live with us for a short while (she had dementia). My favourite memories of her are those where she would sit outside enjoying the sunshine on a chair placed directly behind my garden swing; Gran would happily push me whilst humming a little tune for what seemed like hours on end...

We lived with my gramps for years, and can honestly say Nana was the most amazing woman I've ever met. So many happy memories of holidays with her, not to mention her being a friendly face at school for years as she was the caretaker and would always be around in the background reassuring all the little ones. My best and possibly funniest memories are from when I was about 5 or 6, her sister was visiting and they were having a contest in the garden to see if they could still do cartwheels and headstands. Both were a giggling heap after a few attempts, it was hilarious to see. Very very happy memories of her x

Grandad loves the twins and spending time with the. He loves just being around them. He bought cakes on his birthday just so the boys could blow the candles out with him. He lets them do the gardening with him and they am really are his little sidekicks.

Just watching my parents play with our DD - with such joy and enthusiasm, whether it's playing dolls or watching her dance or picking salad from the greenhouse. I sometimes feel worn down but they never seem to. They adore her and she them. I never had that with grandparents growing up and I cherish every moment that she does.

My granny passes away a few months ago but she was my rock. She was the kindest, most caring woman I've ever known. Every happy childhood memory was facilitated by her and she was my best friend.

Every friday I would stay at her house. She would buy me a can of pop and a chocolate bar. I had to save her the last bite of it :) she would let me stay up super late (sometimes past midnight! ) and we would watch old films together.
Those evenings, lay with my head in her lap, struggling to stay awake to see the end of the film, whilst listening to her humming as she stroked my hair were the best days of my life.

DD has lovely Grandparents on both sides and they both enrich her life spectacularly.

From little things like taking the time out of their day for a phonecall, to days out and even holidays. DD is lucky to have all of these people who adore her to call upon.

I feel like she has given my parents a new lease of life and to watch them careering around a beach with her and a frisbee is so hilarious and heartwarming.

We love it when granny tells the grandkids the story of the time she ate a jam donut having heated it in the microwave and when she bit into it the burning hot jam squirted right up her nostril! She makes us all laugh so much the way she tells that story.

I used to stay in my grans every Saturday night and one of my favourite memories is chatting to her for hours on a Sunday morning stood on a little stool peeling beg. She got me one of those peeler things so I didn't chop my fingers off. I used to do all the peeling and she did all the chopping. It must have driven her mad as she could have probably had it all done in half an hour!

Just random chats with my Grab when she was in hospital and I was back from uni in the holidays or weekends. I learned lots about her then and really felt we bonded. Sounds silly but I have fond memories of those times.

Some of my best memories with my grandparents are of picking berries at the end of their garden. They lived through WW2 and rationing so they grew such a huge variety of fruit and veg. We picked raspberries, blackberries and gooseberries together. My nan made the best apple and blackberry pies, served warm with a big scoop of ice cream.
We had such fun with them, they are very sadly missed.

Sitting on my grandfather's knee. With my parents, it is the children being taken to pick fruit. Both generations love it.
