To celebrate the launch of DisneyLife, the new digital membership service from Disney, they'd love to hear about your favourite Disney films from your childhood and whether you've shared this film with your DCs.

Here's what DisneyLife says "We're so excited to launch DisneyLife, which gives the whole family access to a fantastic collection of Disney and DisneyPixar movies, Disney Channels TV box sets, books, music and more, in one place. DisneyLife will help create magical moments for the whole family to share, so we're keen to hear about your favourite Disney film from childhood and if you've shared a magical moment with your children by watching this together."

So, what was your favourite Disney film when you were a child? Maybe The Jungle Book was your favourite and you would always sing along to the Bare Necessities? Or perhaps you loved Peter Pan and wished you could fly around Neverland? Maybe you watched Pocahontas repeatedly and wanted to learn to paint with all the colours of the wind? Have you shared your favourite Disney film with your DCs?

Whatever your favourite Disney film was, DisneyLife would love to hear about it!

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered in to a prize draw where one winner will receive a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

The first film I ever saw at the cinema was 'The Jungle Book'. I loved it and it set me up for a lifetime of loving film and cinema.
On my 5th birthday we had a party at my house and watched 'Dumbo'. I broke my heart when Dumbo was taken away from his Mum,shouted at my friends who laughed at me and was sent to bed- at my own party! Grin
My little sister was born 10 years after me and so I got to experience the magic of Disney all over again with her. She knew all of the words to every single film and would recite them while watching each film, singing her little heart out- The Little Mermaid being the all-time favourite. We also adored the Mickey's Christmas singalong which sadly, I can't seem to track down now. Xmas Sad
Now I'm a mum and getting to relive all the gorgeous Disney loveliness with my own children. I imagine that one day, I might get to perpetuate the magic with grandchildren too- how lovely!

Fantasia because I got it for Christmas and my sister desperately wanted it for years after (not sure why, they were all kept together and watched by whoever wanted to, but she was desperate for my copy to be here) Xmas Grin

I liked beauty and the beast best and I still do, because it shows that it's what is inside that counts

I remember my DDad took my cousin and I to the cinema to see Bambi. I must have been about 5, so many moons ago. I loved it, but found the bit with Bambi's mother's death heartbreaking. Sorry for the spoiler if you've never watched it! I was still upset when the film ended and tripped up the stairs leaving the cinema. Whenever I see Bambi or hear it mentioned, I always remember a lovely day out with my DDad, who sadly is no longer with us. Happy but bittersweet memories.

Robin Hood! We taped it from TV on VHS, and watched it so much we wore the tape out.
I've shown it to my daughter (age 2) but she just wanted to watch her favourite... 'MERMAID!!!!' Lucky I like that one too as its the only one we are allowed to watch now

My favourites were Dumbo and Bambi - I imagine both used to bring a tear to my eye!

More recently I've enjoyed The Lion King, great songs / music, fab story. Definitely one I'll watch with my DC one day!

I loved Snow White so much that I used to sing in the garden at the top of my voice and hope that the birds would land on me. Strangely, it never happened, and I'm sure I got a bit of a reputation with the neighbours as being a 'strange child'.

The Little Mermaid was my favourite as a kid. It was one of the first films I saw at the cinema if not the first. Still love the songs!

I've been looking forward to introducing my own children to Disney and DS is currently watching Jungle Book for the first time and glued to the TV! Disney Life sounds like a great idea Grin

Basil the great mouse detective. Still my favourite now. So funny, loved the mystery and the music. As I got older I loved the sherlock Holmes references.

I think Dumbo and Bambi were the first ones I ever saw and I remember being excited about seeing the Jungle Book.
I also loved 101 Dalmations and remember watching that loads and being scared of Cruella. I had the audio cassette and used to listen to the story every day.
Although I was very girly when I was little there wasn't the same thing around the Disney Princesses -I don't think you could just buy Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty in the shops as they were only released on video every so often and had to wait for them to be released from the Disney 'vault'.

As a teenager I loved Beauty and the Beast and knew all the words from the Lion King it still is a firm favourite. Was great to be able to take my children to the rerelease at the cinema a few years ago.
I now have 3 children so Cars was a hot favourite in this household for years then it was all about the princesses . Out of the newer ones Rapunzel and Tiana have been family favourites and of course Frozen has taken over our lives the last couple of years.

One that the whole family loves is Ratatouille , we are hoping to take the children to Disney Land Paris soon so we can visit the ride and restaurant. Fab to have a film that appeals to us all.

I did try and watch Dumbo with my own children recently ..it brought back some great memories but I also blubbed my eyes out at Dumbo and his mother -sob!!

Do I just have to decide on one? There are so many!

If pushed, I'd say Robin Hood. Have fond memories watching it with friends and we loved dancing along to the songs. Was never a Disney princess girl, more a battle girl. Would have loved Brave as a girl.

The Rescuers. I remember being taken to the cinema and can remember getting so involved in the story that I was really anxious when the mouse faced some danger.

As a parent I've both enjoyed re-watching Lady and the Tramp and the Jungle Book as well as discovering new favourites such as Tangled and Frozen.

Posted too soon...

We love Disney in this house and my DC love both the new and the old Disney, we have practically all of them on DVD. a few years ago we were in holiday participating in a pub quiz, one part was 'name the Disney movie from the song'. We got 100% Blush

I grew up with Disney! The characters feel like old friends, I know the films inside out. My husband is amazed that I know the words to so many songs. My favourite film.. Well, it's Cinderella (animated) because my favourite song ever is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo. And my little boy has loved that song since he was a few weeks old! It was always sure to make him smile. We are a definite Disney family!

I liked Mary Poppins and if pushed probably still know most of the words to the film. My daughter is probably too little to sit through a film at the moment but I look forward to sharing Finding Nemo or Toy Story with her when she is older. I still remember my sister watching Pete's Dragon on what seemed like a loop when I was small!

My favourite was Lady and The Tramp.

I saw it at the cinema when I was quite small, and I had the book of the film. Then later I had it on video, and watched it so often I wore out the tape!

I enjoyed them all, I can't say I remember one as a favourite from childhood but now it's Robin Hood

DD was a princess fan, not so much now though! DS's favourite is Mary Poppins, it was on again this weekend with him copying Dick Van Dike's dancing

Dumbo was my favourite, I used to watch it over and over (until the VHS tape broke!). Also loved Cinderella, I used to make drawings of that blue dress all the time and knew the words to all the songs.

My favourites were Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland & Robin Hood. Neither DC are fussed about Robin Hood, but DS(7) loves Alice in Wonderland and DD(4) can't get enough Sleeping Beauty.
We've all enjoyed the more recent ones, Wreck it Ralph & Tangled especially.
My DH & I loved sharing our old favourite Disney films, and we all enjoy discovering the new ones. We are slowly building our Disney DVD collection & we hope to own them all eventually.

I remember liking 101 dalmations and wishing I could have a houseful of puppies!
I don't think my DC have seen although I do like watching newer films with them.

Mary Poppins for me. I watched it so often I knew all the words. My mum banned me from watching it as she was so sick of it. I remember someone coming to the door one day and quickly putting it on while she was answering it so desperate was I to watch it again!

My favourite (and still is), The Jungle Book my love for it appears to have rubbed off on to DS, we regularly watch it on DVD and love doing the silly dances whilst sing badly along to the songs.

A close second has to be The Lion King. Many years ago I went to the cinema to see (as an adult) and sobbed my heart out when Simba's father died. I was so loud, a little girl in the row in front seat to me stage whispered to her mum..." mummy, why is that lady crying" Blush

I didn't love Disney as a very little girl but as I got a bit older I really enjoyed the lion king which dd also now loves.

Favourite was and still is the jungle book! I love the songs of course and all the bits with the elephants still make me laugh out loud now. It's a great film.
