As you may know we are working with George Foreman Grills to promote their range of grills.
George Foreman say "We've been wowed by the response we've had from Mumsnetters to our George Foreman testing! The feedback has been great and it's fab to see all the new meal ideas which can be made on our grills"
They are now after your best grill based family recipes to feature on some new GF recipe cards. Recipes can include savoury and sweet dishes that could cooked already on a GF grill, or indeed ones which are cooked by you on a regular grill or BBQ but that you think could be adapted for a GF grill.
Add your recipe below and the MNers submitting the 10 best recipes chosen by the George Foreman team will each win a Russell Hobbs Creations Food processor worth £44.99 and available exclusively to Argos. Key key criteria to win would be that your submission is creative, versatile and family friendly.
The top 10 recipes chosen will then be "professionalised" by the team at George Foreman into recipe cards with photography and put on the GF pages on Mumsnet and on the main GF website for people to download. If your recipe/ fav grill prep is picked you will also receive a hard copy set of the winning recipes.

Easy peasy Chixken Satay :
Soy sauce, peanut butter and chicken.
Mix the first two together.
Spread on the chicken.
Can't be doing with long-winded -27-ingredients-required recipes that take half an hour to prep, chilling time, resting time and who knows what else. I am a busy woman!
Easy cheesy chicken
Slice chicken fillets across but not right through (so it lifts open like a book)
Fill with your favourite soft cheese...eg philli, roule, even mozzarella.
Sprinkle on your favourite herb....eg chives, basil, chillis.
Add a couple of sun dried tomatoes.
Close chicken fillet and grill.
Make quick salad while the grill does all the work.
Our favourite dish and our easiest is....
unsmoked back (no fat) chopped and cooked
homemade pasta sauce
Mix together and serve with garlic bread
My homemade pasta sauce recipe is....
2/3 tins chopped tomatoes
All blended together
I've not added amounts as it varies with different taste buds.
And I hardly ever weigh when cooking :-)
Madeira cake (or other reasonably firm cake) cut into 1-2 inch squares
ripe necterines/apricots/ peaches stones and quartered
Banana pealed and sliced into 1 inch chunks
2 tablespoons of apricot or other pale jam, warmed
thread cake and fruit onto skewers, brush with warmed jam, and grill 2-3 mins
My little one loves what we call Banana Melt. It's a banana cut in half with mini marshmallows and grated chocolate, baked on the grill for 3-5 mins, then served with a dollop of ice cream.
Chicken thigh fillets marinated in pataks paste, and plan yogurt (tikka is great as all the family can enjoy it as not too spicy).
Then grilled and served on pappadoms with a dressing of chopped tomatoes, spring onions and red onions.
Grilling the marinated chicken really helps keep those fab flavours in!
Makes a great starter when served on mini pappadoms or a great dish otherwise!
Grilled chilli prawns with lettuce and polenta
4-6 large raw prawns per person ( tails on)
Sweet chilli sauce
4 little gem lettuces
Some pitted black olives( of your choice /dried are best)
1 pkt pre cooked polenta
12 mini plum tomatoes
Heat the George Foreman grill.
Slice the polenta into 8 slices and brush lightly with olive oil .
Set to cook on the grill as soon as its good and hot.
Place the prawns in a bowl with 1 desert spoonful each of sweet chilli sauce and olive oil. Turn in the mix carefully and leave to marinate.
Cut the little gems in two lengthwise .
Brush with a little of the prawn marinade and place on the grill.
Turn the polenta to cook on the reverse side.
Thread the prawns onto short wooden skewers - and place on the grill.
Cut the tomatoes in half and place in a bowl. Remove the grilled lettuce when golden brown on the cut side.
Add to the toms and throw in the olives. Once the prawns are sticky and golden remove from the skewers and add to the salad .
Place the grilled polenta on a plate and top with the salad. Make a quick dressing from the chilli sauce and olive oil to taste and drizzle over. Add salt and pepper as needed.
I have a fab recipe for Mediterranean Lemon pork or chicken.
Marinade pork shoulder or chicken breasts overnight.
Add to a container the following
4 chicken breast or 4 pork shoulder steaks
1 lemon - zest and juice
3 cloves of garlic
1 bunch fresh oregano chopped
150 ml olive oil
Good grinding of fresh pepper
Chilli flakes are optional xx to your taste.
Once marinated remove and pat dry with kitchen roll. Cook on grill. Serve with fresh salad, hummus and pita bread
Steak in red wine
4 sirloin steaks
Salt & Pepper
Make up a marinade with 2 tablespoons of red wine per steak and two tablespoons of oilive oil. Add freshly ground sea salt and pepper.
Marinade the steaks for a few hours then barbecue or grill, heating and reducing the remainder of the marinade for a sauce.
Serve with green vegetables or salad.
Low carb, high protein, dead easy and delicious!
for quick and tasty kebabs I take 3lbs of mincemeat and add 3 crushed cloves of garlic, a small bunch of fresh coriander, 2green chillies, 1/2spn of cumin 2-3slices of bread ( toasted then break into crumbs and add to mixture. salt to taste. leave to rest for hour. Then shape into long sausage shapes and grill on each side for 5mins. yum! All my family love em.

"Just a bit more" Garlic Chicken
4 Chicken Breasts
4-8 slices of bacon
1 tub plain Philly cream cheese
4-6 garlic cloves
3 spring onions, chopped
4 large mushrooms, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1) slice chicken breasts to make a medium sized pocket
2) season the outside of the chicken with salt and pepper
3) in a bowl mix together the: Philly, crushed garlic, thyme and spring onions
4) artfully (!) smear the Philly mixture inside the chicken and manoeuvre in some chopped mushrooms.
5) wrap the chicken in 1-2 pieces of the bacon
6) cook in foreman for 15-20 min, depending on your taste. The bacon should go nice and crispy!
Sun-dried tomato pesto haloumi & veg kebabs.
Cut up equal sized pieces of aubergine, courgette, red & yellow pepper, cherry tomatoes and haloumi. Toss everything in sun-dried tomato pesto and leave to marinate for at least 30mins. Thread onto kebab skewers and cook in the grill until haloumi is golden brown and veg is slightle charred on the edges.
Also delicious with haloumi, sweet potato & betroot.
Mine's really simple. Asparagus, either wrapped in a piece of pancetta or on it's own, drizzled with olive oil, pepper and a squeeze of lemon then thrown on the grill . Completely yummy, especially with some garlic mayo!
Did these on the weekend, they are so so nice!
Coconut Prawn skewers
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 lime - need both zest and juice
- 1/2 can coconut milk
- 2 packs of uncooked prawns
(optional: chopped chilli)
- cubes of pineapple (better fresh but can use tinned)
1. mix the ginger, garlic, lime juice and zest, coconut milk and chilli (if using it) toghether
2. put the prawns in and marinade for 1-24 hours, the longer you leave the more coconutty and flavoursome they get!
3. thread a cube of pineapple onto a kebab stick, fill the stick with prawns and then add a cube of pineapple on the end.
4. grill until prawns are cooked and pineapple bits have nice char lines (those bits taste the best)
A normal lasagne without pasta.
Use grilled aubergines instead of the pasta sheets

My family loves fajitas using the grill. I marinade chicken in a mild chilli and tomato sauce then grill. I also grill some onions and peppers and wrap up with some crisp lettuce. The whole family loves it.
easy grilled garlic bread
1 loaf french bread halved length size
1 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
5or6 cloves of garlic peeled and crushed
1/4 cup shredded cheese
fresh chopped parsley(or green herbs)
1 preheat the grill for medium heat
2 in a bowl mix mayonnaise,garlic,parsley and parmasan cheese.in a saucepan on medium heat melt the cheese,stir constantly until melted and smooth,pour into the bowl in mayonnaise mixture blend it well.
3 place the bread on grill with cut side down toast for few minute then remove it from grill spread with cheese mixture on on each side place the halves back together wrap the loaf in aluminum foil grill it for about 15 minute turn occasionally until cheese mixture is hot and loaf is heated through.
4 tuna steaks
1 tbsp olive oil
fresh basil - chopped
1 red and 1yellow pepper, chopped
4 large chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt and pepper
Mix together the olive oil, basil, peppers and tomato, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Marinate the tuna steaks for 4-6 hours in the fridge.
Grill the tuna steaks for 4 minutes or so per side, depending on how you like them. If you prefer steaks to be more rare, grill for 2 or 2 and a 1/2 minutes on each side.
a mixed grill meat dish - bacon sausage steak gammon
i had a George which was great had a slide temperature thing on its lid , sadly it died so we replaced it with a bigger more expensive one which actually does not have a temperature thing on it and burns everything - very disappointing George!
5 spice pork - only 3 ingredients!!!
Thin sliced pork loin steaks
1 tsp 5 spice
3 tbsp golden syrup
stir 5 spice powder into golden syrup and coat pork with it. Marinade for 30minutes then grill until cooked through.
250g turkey/beef/pork/lamb mince
small peeled and grated apple
grated clove of garlic
grated small peeled onion
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
chicken/beef stock cube dissolved in 2 tbsp water
20g breadcrumbs of seeded bread
flour to dust
combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Shape into patties, dust with four, refrigerate for 1 hour then grill until brown on outside and cooked through.
I loved my GF grill till it developed an electrical fault - probably just a bad batch - and I used to cook lean pork steaks regularly. Marinate in a mixture of crushed garlic cloves (x2), soya sauce (2tbsps), honey (1 tbsp), a good pinch of mixed herbs and 2tbsps of ketchup... Leave in the fridge for a couple of hours, mix again thoroughly, grill and serve with a crusty baguette and a crisp summer salad! Yum!
My favourite super easy grill recipe is tikka prawns. Marinate raw tiger prawns in yogurt and tikka spices (or any mixture of spices/curry powder/tikka paste).
Soak wooden skewers in water.
When you're ready to go, thread the prawns onto wooden skewers.
Grill the prawn skewers. Delicious.
My favourite is a courgette mint buffalo mozzarella salad.
For a light lunch for two:
Three medium courgettes - cut on the diagonal so you have thinnish ovals about as thick as a £1 coin. Toss with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and grill till tender but not floppy. Black grill lines a bonus.
While the courgettes are grilling, tear 2 balls of buffalo mozzarella into a shallow dish. The milky liquid will pool in the bottom of the bowl (this is a very good thing).
When the courgettes are done, add to the dish with the mozzarella. Tear over a large handful of mint, drizzle with the best extra virgin olive oil you can afford (the greener and pepperier the better). Sprinkle with salt and pepper and mix gently.
The warm courgettes make the mint and mozzarella get all fragrant and melty and there is a puddle of gorgeous juice at the bottom of the salad bowl to dip crusty bread into.
Lovely served with cold meats like parma ham/salami/saucisson sec/jamon serrano etc, crusty bread and radishes with cold butter.
*NB. If you can get burrata this is even nicer - instead of tearing into a bowl and tossing through the grilled courgette, arrange the grilled courgette onto a plate, sprinkle mint and olive oil over, and place the burrata on top (it's too wibbly and soft to be torn and tossed).
Grilled Fruit Kebabs (Gotta have a desert)
Chunked fruit (any will do but these are good)
Glaze- rum (optional but yummy), honey, lemon juice
Mix the glaze into a large bowl and add the fruit.
Gently swirl it round until all of the fruit is coated.
Put on wooden skewers and grill on a clean grill for approx 2 minutes.
Fruit can burn quickly so don't leave it.
The rum can flare up.
Serve with cream or ice-cream.
