hi, I have been reading some of the posts on this board with interest as I suspect my daughter (13) could have ADHD and I would like to get her assessed. Since she started secondary school two years ago I have become increasingly aware that she has difficulties at school but haven't been able to work out what the problem is. Lockdown has exacerbated her difficulties (both her aggressive behaviour at home and inability to engage with online learning) and I am now aware that she displays most of the key symptoms for inattentive ADHD. I know that there is a long waiting list for CAMHS so would like to get the diagnosis done privately. Am I right in thinking that it is an Educational Psychiatrist that I need for this, and that Education Psychologists can not carry out a diagnosis? Any tips on where to find one would be welcome too, thank you
