Does anyone have any bad experiences of this? It seem to be commonly used for people with sleep disturbances but there are a few articles online that paint a darker picture.

Any experiences of this much appreciated.

My son has been taking it, he seems ok with it actually although he has reported quite vivid dreams.

Might be too late for you now but for what it is worth:

Melatonin is a natural substance that we all produce anyway - some produce more than others. It is sleep inducing

My daughter took it for many years - she had no side effects - helped her a little but she was a very poor sleeper but appeared to help settle her

I have other friends who have used for children and none have mentioned any side effects
