hi i have an ds13,he has suffered since 6 with migraines then at 10 found out it was bullying,then he got bullied again at secondary before this he missed half of yr5 and half of yr then i took him out of school in yr 7,he was home schooled then put him back into yr8 he couldnt cope so he attends areferral centre for medical reasons.sorry thats his background sort of anyway this xmas my mother in law is very ill and her husband is staying with us and is very confused so waking us all up in the night etc,my ds is very close to his grandparents is very upset about them,he refuses to go to school today he says he doesnt want to see anyone wont go out the house and is very tearful i know he is very sad but do i take him to see the dr or not.he is waiting for cbt!!!!!he has also suffered with depression at i have seen it all before he says he never wants to go back to that place again meaning his low mood please any advice would be appreciated !!

Not a lot of advice, but wanted to post to say that I'd read this and it sounds so stressful for all of you. I'd say maybe yes to taking him to the doctors? Worth a try?

thanks amberlight i spoke to adr todat about him he wouldnt get out of bed he just said get him back into school!!!!not much help ah

heck, no help at all, you're right. Might be worth giving this charity a call - they specialise in giving good advice to parents and young people about this sort of thing?
