Still waiting to hear back. I've rang the DWP twice since the standard 8 week they suggest you to leave it. They said they will have decisions hopefully 2 weeks before the current DLA expires, which is the first week of May. This is for my son. Anybody else been waiting similar times since January

Yep - been waiting since start of Feb. Ours expires end of May. I'm finding it quite stressful just waiting for the post to arrive every day sad

Still waiting here. Called today and it hasn't even been looked at yet [sigh]

Their backlog must be enormous..

I phoned the other day and got told they never look at a renewal claim till 10 days before the end date and to just give them a call on the day it sapose to end if I have not had a letter by then.

That certainly seems the case as it's taken a full 4 months for them to reject our renewal. Letter actually arrived on dds birthday - horrible sad

Oh no so sorry to hear that do not forget you can appeal the decision its worth a try. I've evan been told of people leaving it a few months and trying again and got accepted

Thanks @Steph2541 - appreciate you replying smile

Am really upset and shocked as we've claimed DLA almost since she was born with no previous issues. Will hope to appeal.

It's no problem. I do hope it works out for you. This is my first renewal wait and it is killing me to wait.
