Our SN area is not a substitute for expert advice. While many Mumsnetters have a specialist knowledge of special needs, if they post here they are posting as members, not experts. There are, however, lots of organisations that can help - some suggestions are listed here. If you've come across an organisation that you've found helpful, please tell us. My son is now 16 and has had a statement/ECHP since pre-school. I’m having a sort-out of my office today and have huge folders full of annual statement reviews, ed psych and speech & language reports, letters from children’s services etc. Do I need to keep it all going back that far? He’s now in his last year at a special school and had an interview for college, and the only thing they wanted was last November’s EHCP review. Any point in keeping the rest of it? Is he ever likely to need it? So much for the 21st Century paperless office, I’m drowning in the stuff.
