Hello to you all. Hope you are well.

i'm new to mums net, every time i research something it always brings up mumsnet and i have found some great info from you guys so thought i would join and see if you can help me further.

Our son 12 yr old son, has had long standing diffuclties. long story short, had a battle with both primary and secondary to recognise this and then put provision in. At our request he has recently had an indepth EP assessment. 2 1/2 hours long. ( we thought he did really well to stay with her all that time.) including cognitive assessments. As this was one of our concerns.

Had a meeting with her, very nice lady. picked up on alot which was great.

our son scored
verbal ability- 16th percentile
non verbal reasoning- 1st percentile
spacial ability- 30th percentile.

5th percentile overall
removing language element still comes out at 5 th percentile so not a language issue.

She has said that our son has MLD. (on top of dyslexia which was diagnose end of year 6.) we also are awaiting assessment for autism at camhs in dec.

We havnt had her report yet, we should get it in a few weeks. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this? aparently when our son saw EP in primary she didnt do non verbal reasoning ability with him... maybe if she had MLd would have been picked up sooner?

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance
