Hello does anyone have any experience of this centre, they are starting saturday classes and I am thinking of giving it a go for my DS and DD. I would love to hear if anyone has experience of this type of intervention.

Link or more information?

How bad are your children?

I'm guessing all it does is tutoring.

If your children aren't that bad then tutoring might help.

If your children have severe difficulties then I wouldn't start here....

Yes, I agree that if there are severe problems it simply won't be enough. DS has been to a private dyslexia school since he was 7 and the intervention is far more intensive, with therapies and a whole-school approach with multi-sensory learning. I think extra curricular classes are just a sticking plaster for those with significant difficulties and they really need a totally different approach. Your children might benefit from that alone OP - you haven't mentioned their level of difficulty.

Hi CherryPepsi,

I think we may have already chatted - but there's no search of your inbox so I can't find it.

But can you tell me what therapies your DS got at his dyslexia school?

He's had quite a bit of intervention over the past few years as his needs are quite complex. He had a programme of auditory integration therapy, 1:1 OT to support fine motor skills, sensory integration therapy, hydrotherapy, rebound therapy, speech and language sessions, vision therapy and psychological counselling. It is all very well integrated and the teachers are so experienced in adapting the curriculum, it's made the world of difference for him.
