DS roared "BUGGER" at the vicars wife today!

Oh the shame!

We were at holiday club at our church and all having a picnic in the churchyard afterwards, and the vicar's wife commented on a little 4 year boy's tan. To his dad's shame he said 'It's not all over! My bum and my willy are white!' DS (age 5 with limited speech and somewhat limited understanding but with a great love of rude words!), giggled with glee at the sound of the words bum and willy and squeaked 'rude! rude!' So I felt prompted to explain that he has a real 'little boy's toilet humour' at the moment, cultivated by his siblings.. at which DS took a deep breath, and shouted, "Rude! BUGGER!!!!!"

I hid my face! There was no mistaking what he said.. I had to admit we call him a 'little bugger' (well he IS one! Of the highest order!) but that his usual repertoire of 'rude words' consisted of 'bum, willy, naked, nappy and baby-wipes!' (the latter two which he has decided for himself are 'rude'! ) He has said bugger before.. but I hadn't quite expected him to say it then, stupidly!

that is funny did she have a sense of humour about it?!?!

SleepyJess Mon 15-Aug-05 22:53:07

Yes... she laughed and said 'I have a house full of sons! Do you not think I hear these things sometimes?' to which I privately thought 'well no.. I had rather assumed the vicar's children would not have garbage mouths like the rest of us!' Clearly I was wrong!
