Do you ever feel your life is just a long 'to do' list?

Beginning to feel a bit swamped by everything. On my to do list at the moment I have:

Chase LEA re: meeting for dd's statement and prepare my arguments
Fill in dd's DLA forms
Make appointment for dd at cranial osteopath
Make appointments to go and see possible nurseries for dd
Try and source a 2-piece inset puzzle
Write letter re: parking fine because stupid traffic warden didn't see Disabled badge
contact ss re: possible house adaptations to make room for ridiculous amount of physio equipment
order makaton books
find out about soft play areas suitable for dd
source touch screen for computer (2nd hand)
source hot/cold pads and other sensory stuff

and that is just the stuff that relates to dd's special needs and not even including doing any of her actual therapies....

And my mother asks me "what sort of things do you need to do then?" when I say I am busy.....

I know this might sound silly, but do you have an actual list (on the fridge or wherever)?

they have some lovely 2 peice inset puzzles in our old fashioned toy shop, i will get one for you. they are the ones with the easy to grip handles too

and yes a very long 'to do' list especially as my little one (well big one) seems intent on having constant runs and getting sent home from school at every oppurtunity!

I know EXACTLY how you feel...
Feels endless, doesn't it?
Lovely two-piece inset puzzles in Rompa, from what I can remember, too. And I think ELC may have introduced one?

I feel exactly like that the whole time and to top it all Dh's parents phoned up and said they are coming down on Thursday. They haven't visited us for a year! then they give me 2 days notice!

So just add on pick them up from station, make up beds, make meals plus lose evenings when would be doing other things on list to talk to them instead...

Thanks for puzzle tips ladies - will get on-line and have a look. Are the ones in your local shop really simple fio? Like a circle and a square or similar?

Saker - its terrible isn't it? instead of looking forward to visitors half the time now it just stresses me out . Usually because it means I have to go on a mad cleaning frenzy because the rest of the time my house is a horrid mess.

Can empathize HITC - trouble with me is that my to do list is in my head and nothing ever gets done!! I think I would be better to write one out and that might alleviate some of the stress!

Yes, the list is endless, plus me being totally disorganised doesn't help much!

I know it's hard HITC but once they go to full time school and the statement is in place it does all slow down. So hang on in there and remember you are doing a brilliant job

I will pop in tommorrow and have a look HITC, i remember seeing them though and thinking how they were ideal. Btw do you not have a toy library you can use? we used to have one where we used to live (not sure about here) that was greta for lending stuff off

Thanks Fio - that's a good point about the toy library actually. I used to be a member of one but because we had portage at the time found I never used it.

Okay - I'll add 're-join toy library' to my list .

My to-do list always seems to be about a mile long. I have a big noticeboard in my kitchen that is full of appointments and meetings for between now and the end of term. It's only Wednesday and I've already had to see 3 different pros this week, and I've got another appointment tomorrow. Ds2's DLA form is almost finished but I'm still trying to sort out his pre-school provision ready for September. His introductory session didn't go as well as I'd hoped so it looks as though there's more to be done there too. Then on top of that is all the things that need arranging for ds1.........

Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh!

every day....and the list just keeps getting longer. I never seem to be able to cross anything off.
