hello babe

jayzmummy Thu 23-Jun-05 00:11:44

Glad your enjoying youself. just very that you are there and I am here. Looking forward to hearing all about RDI upon your return.

Davros Thu 23-Jun-05 09:17:09

Coooeee RnB, I was thinking of you just the other day and thought you must be in Canada. Have a good time and bring us back some syrup (that's what they do there isn't it?)

Davros Thu 23-Jun-05 09:18:02

That is SOME syrup, not A syrup. I haven't lost my hair!

Jimjams Thu 23-Jun-05 09:20:44

Isn't there an RDI thingy in the UK next year????

I still don't get how it works for non-verbal kids though- can they get past level 3? Have they said how much success they've had with non-verbal kids?

Have fun! I'm very jealous- always wanted to go to Canada. We were planning a camper van trip round Canada when I got pregnant with ds1.

InternationalGirl Thu 23-Jun-05 22:08:26

Far as I can tell they were scoping out the interest for the UK and looks as though they might do something here - no idea on dates. I am going to South Africa to try to round up some interest so they'll bring it down there for us!! Kind of a daunting task but I'm already spreading 'the word'.

Hey RnB - glad it is going well

lou33 Thu 23-Jun-05 23:58:24

when are you off IG, it must be soon now?

InternationalGirl Fri 24-Jun-05 23:23:39

Fly 10th July. Movers come June 27/28. Getting close now. and all at the same time. Hope to see at least one or two of you before I go...

lou33 Sat 25-Jun-05 14:32:15

it's so exciting, i love all the build up to moving, fresh start and all that. Probably why i get itchy feet after about 3 years in the same place

InternationalGirl Sat 25-Jun-05 14:58:12

Yep - I know what you mean - can't wait to get on the plane and get going.

Best part is we're going to have a lovely family holiday for about a month visiting with relatives before we go to South Africa.

Worst part is the movers are taking our computers on Monday so I'll be off MN until about 18 July when we check in with family who have computers.

lou33 Sat 25-Jun-05 15:04:37

sounds great!

i blame my itchy feet on my father being in the army, and moving every couple of years

InternationalGirl Sat 25-Jun-05 22:38:13

We moved a lot when I was a kid - I think that is what has made me so adaptable and ready to go every few years...

My stepmother came from a military family so kept moving us around - we never stayed anywhere longer than 2-3 years. I went to at least 15 schools between kindergarten and end of school. I hope to not quite do that with my kids but there are definitely a lot of pros and some cons to moving on a regular basis. Saying "See ya later" to friends being one of the hardest. At least I can catch up on MN but won't be able to meet like before.

hi to you both, glad to hear it's going well. Enjoy your trip RnB and very best of luck Igirl xx
