Saw this in the Times for today,

'The actor who plays the acid tongues Dr Cox (John McGinley) has a son with Down's syndrome and works tirelessly fundraising in the US. It shouldn't make a difference to the way you lookk at a performance, but somehow it does.'

Good on him.

We're big fans of Scrubs in this house. I had no idea that he had a child with DS. I noticed that there was a recent storyline about autism where Dr Cox realises that his friend's son has ASD but doesn't know how to tell him. Considering the programme is mainly a comedy I thought that it was handled well.

Interesting. I love Scrubs - scripts, performances and direction are superb and hysterically funny.
