Anyone 'medical' ie GP, Paed etc can refer.

School can also refer to TAMHS, which is a sub division of CAMHS.

Claw I don't know if TAMHS is a nationally rolled out programme yet

i did a SPA (single point of access) referral through the school nurse to the Peadiatrician who then referred onto CAHMS!
my GP couldnt refer to CAHMS and wouldnt refer onto a pead! think it varies with area to are best off ringing cahms and asking what direct routes there are for referral!

Hi Debs40, as you know i had an appointment with TAMHS the other week, we have also been referred to CAMHS.

I was totally confused and asked the TAMHS therapist what the difference was. Apparently TAMHS and CAMHS are one of the same, TAMHS go into schools, CAMHS you go there!

The TAMHS therapist told me she would check on the referral when she got back to the office.
