I was behind our local Keep Mobile disabled transport van the other day & I'm pretty sure the sign on the back asked for people to park 2 metres away.

people will always block you in
yesterday we parked, nice space behind to get her out, some dickhead then parked too close......leaving big space behind him!!
so even a MASSIVE van wive visible ramp, blue badge and sign in the back doesn't work

Agree with 2shoes: we frequently get blocked in.

Its 8 feet on our sign - most leave 8 inches!

As an HGV driver, and a regular user of trailers with tail lifts, it is usually recommended to leave 3 metres behind a tail lift to complete any actions involving a tailift safely.

Hope that helps.
