I asked for my DS's DLA to be reviewed back in July after his diagnosis, and had been waiting since 30 July for a reposnse.
Yesterday afternoon, I received a call out of the blue from a lovely lady who was dealing with our claim. She was ever so apologetic that he was too young to qualify for mobility (he is only 2), and talked me through her decision to award mid-rate care.
She also put his file under 'case control' which means we will automatically receive forms to apply for mobility by his third birthday.
I was amazed at her level of professionalism, but even more so at her politeness and genuine concern for our situation.
Horray to her- there should be more caring people like her who deal with DLA!
