for dh. took 4 phonecalls over more that a 2 week period to get them to call.

they are now referring us to the local town dept, to try and dh a stool for the kitchen, adaptations for the bathroom, and some respite for me!

apparently we have to get a wheelchair through the gp surgery.

I know how frustrated you must be, its like a mine field their just hoping you don't make it through. But one thing they don't realise is coping with our kids we don't give up easily

its not for my kids, it for my dh. i have stated over and over again on the phone that we dont know how long he will be like this, but atm he is housebound, and finding it hard to cope. plus i am on call 24/7, i cant leave the house without a mobile phone.

its awful misdee and so frustrating [anger]

I will share something which might worry but it may also put you in good stead, as soon as my sister came out of hospital after her transplant the DLA stopped her benifit and she had to go through the whole rigmorole of reapplying. What b@st@rds

social services still havent got in touch with me, its starting to really annoy me

dont say that fio, its what i'm dreading. we only just got his dla changed to full care. he will need care for a long time afterwards, surely they dont think as soon as you have the op and are discharged you are fine?

the y offered a stoll for the shower room, but dh prefers baths.
