Post holiday SN rant, I do apologise

Just got back (well, early hours of Saturday) rfom our break away.

I say break- ds1 decided when we got there that he wanted to come home, so kicked off. Normally we get build ups to a massive explosion on Wednesday then all OK. not this time- in fact on Wednesday of second week he had such a massive kick off that dh had to restrain him for an hour and then when DH got too badly bruised I took over, was kicked in head and passed out briefly. After that he settled a bit, and I know we are lucky to have been abloe to get even 2 days break but still a bit sad.

On our return home we got two letters:

  1. from SS saying that they have accepted ds3's referral from paed but there is a long waiting list for assessment and ds3 is on it. Now I know some have it far worse and of course they should be seen first, but as a family with 2 asd kids, one highly aggressive, I do think we should be a next priority. Esp. with the amount of other shit we ahve ATM- redundancies etc etc (HB still not been processed months in).

Also a letter from letting agenets threating penalities ot tenancy and a cash fine for missing a house inspection.Letter was posted 22nd and inspection was 28thth- wewere away 18th- 1st. how much brains does it take to get famillies goaway at this time of year, and that a tenant with a perfect record of attendance / paying etc may just be on holiday?

Oh and ds3's continence has taken its annual holiday pack-up again.

And they all three ahve swine flu, ds1 had a temp of 40 last night.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Sorry, don't want sympathies etc as so many have it worse, just needed a rant.

It sounds like you are completely and entirely entitled to a rant, Peachy.
The letting agents are idiots.
Sorry the holidays were a bit crap, they often are. Hope the rest of the summer is better!
And hope you all get well soon re. swine flu.

The agency has just called to apologise so that'ssorted though still was very

However I have realised I did have an epiphany whilst away

I stopped caring about idiot posters on MN

instead of being upset by a poster on another thread I was quite happy to swear

maybe the shit was worth it PMSl if it has ahrdened my skin at last

It sound like it may have been hard work Peachy - not so much of a break! Glad the letting agents have sorted things out.

I have a thread in Camping about GF foods to cook when camping, do you have any bright ideas? DS2 (my NT one) may be a coeliac, he may not be but he does react increasingly badly to wheat and I can't risk it over 2 weeks of camping.

Hope DS3's continence picks up again now you are in home territory.

sorry holiday has been a touch gruelling, and hope the kids are better soon. I'm also feeling a touch irate at toilet training smuggery on I suspect the same thread.

Nah TC, wasnt same thread- was the garry McKinnon (sp) one that got my goat

I am also exhausted by DS3's birthday party yesterday, which jhe enjoyed thankfully not noticing 50% of the guests (in fairness all ASD- kids from his SNU, first time I met them so didnt know there were so many spectrum kids there or might have chosen not to invite ds2 and his loud mate LOL) but he started throwing up striaght after. Seems quieter now though.
