yesterday dd went to a friends to play for 2 horus without me and was fine
Today left her at her first full party without me and again was fine (parents very understanding as have a sn child themselves.) although she did get up and wander about after about 15 minutes of eating her party food but that's no big deal really.
This is the sort of boost I need to start allowing dd to go to beavers etc.
So feeling pretty right now. Hope you don't mind me sharing that. Was also getting worried as she didn't have any invites until then but now has a few coming up so am also happy for dd too

Have to add the 2 people I left her with are 100% aware of dd's difficulties. I would be very choosy (sounds awful) who I left her with tbh

Great news BH! So glad it went well and she is getting some invites. It is true that we have to learn to let go but no-one should let go because of pressure from others as we all know what is suitable for our children. Its getting the balance right between a bit of a risk and striking out/learning and things going wrong because it was never going to work. Slowly but surely!
