DS had his first ever dose of melatonin last night. he had 2ml at 6.30 pm and went to bed at 7.30 very tired......he did go to sleep straight away which is a first for along time BUT
at 12.10am he was sick everywhere, he was like a zombie, managed to get him in bathroom but took about 5 minutes to wake him enough to talk to him. He was then awake saying he felt 'spinning' and sick till 3 am. finally he went off and was awake for good at 6.30 am.

could this have been the melatonin or not? im not sure if he is poorly but he says he still feels dizzy this morning but has eaten breakfast and seems ok.

The first 2 nights we gave DS melatonin he was miserable and cried for nearly the entire day but that could be coincidence.Pead said she didnt think this was a side effect.

thanks for the replies. DS has no temp and has been fine today so far, eaten well although he is argumentative but i suspect thats more to do with lack of sleep than being poorly IYKWIM. I suppose we will see how he is tonight.
I was told by pead that melatonin is natural so side effects are rare but there was no leaflet with the meds so i cant actually see about side effects.
