Does she have to learn the movements to make it work as well? I can imagine that would be hard if she's not used to it.

DS1 non-verbal with AAC but of course doesn't have the movement difficulties your dd has.

I find it easier to introduce when I know he wants something and just get him to ask using the new device/system. That allows him to practice when highly motivated, and then we move onto other stuff.
