We could all write a book about how annoying people can be (hey, that could be quite good), but the kindness of mumsnetters who take the trouble to soothe our angsts in the middle of the night has made me realise how much good will there is, too.
The other day I had bags of groceries hanging on the pushchair handle when DS2 decided to upturn everything. Thankfully DD, well strapped in, was fine, but the impact shattered a jar of tomato sauce which made an unpleasant mess. The dapper older gentleman behind me rather than 'tut' at DS's behaviour asked,
"What are you going to do?".
I didn't know, so he said,
"Give me all the glass."
I complied but looked despairingly at the mess on the pavement. He implored that I leave it, and disappeared. I stood wondering how I was now going to transport the groceries since the bag was broken, when he reappeared with a brand new bag!
So anyway, that's what I wanted to share.
