this morning and we now have in our possession the CP's diagnostic report.

CP states J has autism...not Aspergers due to lang delay....not HFA due to low IQ. Jack falls in the active but odd category...he also goes on to commend our parenting skills...which made me smile given the Paed has blamed J's ASD on behavioural difficulties caused by my poor parenting skills!!!!

Why does it hit you like a ton of bricks when you see it in black and white????

Time has finally arrived now for me to put my backside down infront of the computer and begin to compile my response to the Paed's letter. This is something I am dreading doing but feel I must to put straight some of the slanderous comments made by the said fool.

So girlies bear with me. I will be asking for your advice and opinions....Im so bad at putting what I want to say into any concise form!!!!

Would you mind helping me out with this???? If I break down each of the points that he has made and then post my replies to him....would you check them over and add your thoughts???? Please!!!

Thanks.

JM.

Hi JM. Glad you've got the report through and finally have an answer. Especially pleased that you've been recognised as the fine parent you are 'cos I think you need to see THAT in b&w as well as the diagnosis, after all the bad-mouthing you've had from the paed.

Doubt if I'd be any help with your letter but would be happy to help in any way if I can.

I'm here to offer any help I can.

I'm glad you have received your diagnosis, altho' I'm sure it isn't exactly what you want to hear, it does at least recognise the struggle you have, and the work you are putting in.

I hope this diagnosis helps you to get more assistance now.

I felt so sorry for you when the paed's letter came last week. Just ask for any help you need.

JM, did the postie bring J's pencil-thingy-wotsit-oojamaflip too?? Was posted first-class.. but I have Issues with postal service at present. A first class parcel sent Friday for someone's birthday on Monday arrived yesterday! !

Glad you got the report. I can't help re the actual responses (as DS does not have ASD related probs) but when we got our first draft statement, I spent hours about hours (over days upondays!) 'correcting' all the crap, point by point.. and we got it how it should be in the end! So take the bull by the horns and go for it. YOU know J best!

I would love to help in any way I can Jayzmummy.

I'm just coming to the end of my own ass kick (to borrow MrsF's turn of phrase)letter which I will post on here - although it is 5 pages long at the moment - to get some valuable feedback (what would I do without MN eh?).

Anyway, from what I saw, your letters are pretty fantastic anyway!!!!! That last one was brilliant!
