For those not 'lucky' enough to endure my 'talk' I held at Butlins (unfortunately for J'sM ....she was the only member of the audience!) which was on the subject of my latest Special Interest.... some fantastic plastic storage boxes that i am currently addicted to buying (yet as usual not used many of them yet!!!)

well you are in luck....check this website out (BH....givuzz-a-link)

www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/uk/products.htm

This range of boxes are better than sex....of that i am sure!!!!!

(and then if any of you doubt my ASD tendancies ...you won't after you see this site.....you will get a true insight into what makes me tic!!!! (Baring my soul here!!!!)

Meant to add that this all started at WHSmiths...they are selling a good selection dfrom this range....and at the moment our branch has balled up (and i am addicted to taking advantage of their blunder)....they have a set of 4 boxes which should be £9.99 barcoded incorrectly...so they go through at £4.99...... the biggest box is a 9litre (retails singly @£4.99)and they have left its barcode on instread of putting on one for the set of 4....so you are getting approx £15 of boxes for £4.99 ....oooooh-errrr!!!!

Sorry to put this on the SN area....but where else do i belong!!!!?

Oh for a "flat and reinforced bottom".

I have a collection of plastic boxes that I got from WHSmith ages ago. They're the ones you assemble yourself and the bl**dy things keep falling apart! I'm always on the lookout for more storage.

Well, MrsF, there aren't many things you can buy that "allows suspension files to stand up erect"!

They look gooorrrrggggeoussss! I thought it was only me who had a thing about boxes - I collect them and don't put anything in them and allow the clutter to accumilate around them!

At last....I am not alone

Oooh-you lot are so like me! I have loads of plasic boxes-mostly empty-and am always on the lookout for more!
I tend to buy mine from Makros when they are on special offer. But I never find the time to put anything in them....

How sad am I?? I've just been back to click on the link for another look.

There's no such thing as too much storage. I only wish I could fit all my clutter into the storage that I've actually got......

I actually leave new boxes i've bought in my boot then sneak them in when 'HE's' not home!!!!

Not only do i 'Binge Eat'...but i 'Binge Boxes' too!

I kind of have an 'Upgrade Philosophy' about my hoards of boxes..... I basically buy them like crazy....and 'sometimes' (not often though!) i throw one away as i've found a 'better' one.....
Way i feel at the moment it's a bit like Family & Husbands....keep hold of them for as long as useful...then Throw away as soon as you find something better....Yep ....boxes have alot in common with my family/husband/inlaws!!!!

CT...U R not SAD!!!!

I have approx 25- 30 of the smallest size boxes which i have placed in my 'baking' cupboard (that's a laugh as i hardly bake anymore!!!)

I discovered they hold a pack of suet, small castor sugar,500g Almonds/raisons,dessicated cocconut etc.....and stack oh so neatly!!!!

so as i was saying they will hold all this lovely stuff....but at the moment are sat on the whole empty.....taking up space....but looking so perfectly perfect!!!! (i have put stuff in 3 of them....and i have to be honest ...i prefer them empty....and perfect!!!

NOW THAT IS SAD!!!!!

Hi there MrsF. How is your weekend going?

We were supposed to be de-cluttering this weekend-we have sorted out a few toys, re-organised the storage baskets and have a pile of toys in the hall ready to go to a new home, now if only I could get to the last lot of storage boxes in the garage!! Unfortunately there is too much clutter in the way!

Report
MrsFROSTgetful · 27/03/2005 17:26

that is just like us....in my wardrobe instead of clothes there are 8 of those plastic folding crates....mainly full of paperwork etc....some with 'odd socks' 'un-paired pyjamas' etc.....all stacked up totally filling the space where i could hang the clothes that are in piles all around our bedrooom.....the piles which ping pong from bed to carpet every night.......like boomerangs getting put back on the bed by me in the day----then on the floor when DH goes to bed!!!

Our garage is never good, but today DH has been doing a spot of DIY!So you can imagine the mess! We now have 6 posts in the garden ready for a pergola! Hopefully it will be completed in time for the better weather, so I can sit out there on a warm evening with a glass of wine, while the children sleep like babies! (well -I can wish, can't I!)

Report
MrsFROSTgetful · 27/03/2005 17:39

sounds like my neighbours......trouble is they do sit outside every summer evening under their pergola....sipping wine .....and listening to me screaming at the kids to get in bed!!!!

Oh MrsF. You sound more and more like me with every post you type.

Dh's obsession is small wooden boxes. Old wooden jewellery boxes, cigar boxes etc. Even better if they have little compartments inside. So between wooden boxes, storage boxes and stationery we have a bit of a houseful.

I had mine (ooer!) at 3.30pm so I 'm all confused too. I feel as though I should've just stayed in bed today. Not really an option though as I woke up with ds2 attempting to climb on my head while ds1 stood on the bed calling "Mummy! Mummy! Let me downstairs!" Urrgggh!
