Daily structure and routine are vital*

Do the smae thing at the same time in the same place**Disclaimer for some kids with ASD perhaps!
Find your own way to communicate effectively with your child and keep doing it

Repaet learning/overlearning to build understanding and confidence

Involve your child in group activities/peer groups to help develop social skills

Never treat them differently to other children-just understand that they think differently

Use a mirror to show your child what facial expressions look like to other people and the non verbal messages being sent eg happy/sad/anxious/bored

Have high expectations for yuor child, not low ones

Show visible signs of achievement-hang certificates on the wall

Celebrate success-nothing builds confidence more than this

Always encourage

Be positive and have hope for the future

Nice eh??
