Had an appointment today at the child development centre. We have seen this Doctor for ages now and she is lovely.

I asked her about Ellies concentration, behaviour etc and asked about ADD and ADHD (read to much on here!!!!!!!!!) and whether she thinks Ellie may go onto have either.

Usually people tell me not to be silly and it is just because she is behind with her development. (But I know she has suffered brain damage and to her frontal lobe with is behaviour and personality.)

For change, and although I didn't really want to hear it!!! the Dr told me that Ellie was at high risk of developing Adhd etc, She mentioned maybe if needed to that we would look at some medication in the future etc.

She is sending me a leaflet on 'ADD and the pre school child'

Sorry to ramble on!!! And sorry if I have asked this before.... could those of you who have children with ADHD, ADD etc say what their child is like due to having it.

Thanks

I know it isn't definite that she will go on to have these things....but I like to prepare myself and read far too much into it!!!!

Had a look at the site

Very hard to tell at Ellie's age. She does show a lot of the behaviours but is only 3.

Suppose we shall have to wait til she is a bit older.
