Would like to hear from anyone who lives in pompey area with special needs children as would like some friends that can relate to all the problems that come with these lovely but challenging children.
I am sure i am not the only one that finds people around me have no understanding at all of what it is like even family dont always get it.
Wold be lovely to meet up in school holidays and not have to worry about any strange behaviours going on around us.
So pompey mums if you are out there give me a shout or if you live in surrounding area look forward to hearing from you.

hiya hun, nowhere nr you i am afraid, was just wondering is there no sn groups in your area? we have a group which was set up by a mum when her son was diagnosed adhd, as she didnt want to go through the whole process again alone, it is brilliant though unfortunately we dont get together with the kids. an online group i am on met up for a wk in devon in the summer, 5/6 families had sn kids, which is how we all came to be in same online group, and it was such a relief to not have to constantly apologise for our kids, very different with peeps that understand, good luck in your search.

I bet you had a great time in Devon, we do belong to the local autism group they hold a summer picnic and xmas party and my 12 year old DD goes to a group they run called SIBS for siblings of children with special need ( as they need a break from it as well) and it is lovely to go to these things and just relax and it is nice that they let us go along even though we do not have a dx and we are not 100% sure if she has autism but we do know there is something going on.
