Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on SN.

Do I really have to do this??

DS1's teacher thinks he may have ADD. We have filled in a CAF form for an EP assessment. SENCO wants to rule out absence seizures (I really don't think this is her job!) and has asked me to contact GP to arrange an EEG.
I KNOW he isn't having absences, as DS2 has epilepsy and DOES have them.
I feel like saying - you are talking out of your a**e and wasting the NHS's already limited funds [angry[
Should I bother or not?

Why don't you have a chat with your GP and see what they think. I sure you are right about the SENCO but it will be easier if you keep her onside. Hopefully he'll agree with you that an EEG is unecessary and can right a letter to that effect thst you can then shove up the sencos arse hand to the senco.
