I've heard this from others too. And it doesn't surprise me one little bit . Someone I know recently had a letter refusing DLA just oneweek after application - just how much consideration had it been given?? - then following a letter asking them to reconsider they've been awarded high rate care. They seem to be on another planet!
Not surprised you feel angry. I always feared this type of phone call when I was applying for DLA, I even took a photocopy of my DLA form and placed it next to the phone, just so my partner backed up what I had said.
BH, it honestly wouldnt surprise if they turn him down for middle/high rate care. the people who assess the forms have no idea about DCM and its effects. am just hoping he gets to keep his mobility as without a car he is housebound.
