i have cabin fever, and no help today so am housebound. been awake since 4am. have a pile of things to go to the post office- can't take them. ds1 is bored and keeps climbing on everything and leaning against ropey windows; can't think what to do with him.

aaagghh i can hear loads of things crashing off the work surfaces (sounds as if he's in the microwave) and don't have the energy to stop feeding babe and go and see to him.

think i feel better now.

Bl**dy half-term. My ds1 has mutated into the child from hell this week. I can't tell if it's the virus he's got, the loss of usual school routine or a mixture of both.

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

That feels a little bit better.

tbh I shouldn'tmcomplain as ds1 has been easierthan usual this week (always easier when ill) it's the housebound bit I find hard.

Jimjams, Oh I really, really feel for you. Had so many days like THAT. And I've only got two and don't have the 'half-term' thing yet. It's that feeling that you REALLY can't go anywhere that is so depressing. Know it well.
Thinking of you
CT- sorry you're having a rough time too. {{hugs}}

MrsF. After a morning/afternoon of screaming, tantrums and meltdowns (including a few from me too ) I turned into a screaming fishwife and made them both sit still for 2 minutes. 30 seconds later and they were both snoring on the settee. My ears are still ringing from all the noise and I'm sure the neighbours are ready to call in SS but it's finally quiet.

The first person to wake them up either by phoning or ringing the doorbell will find out exactly how p*ssed off I can get.

I know. I haven't even had chance to have some lunch yet. The monsters were fed though (just in case anyone thinks I'm depriving them of food ).

A waistline? What's one of those?

Maybe that's the answer, MrsF. We should all report each other to SS and use it as a way in?

"I'd like to report MrsForgetful for neglect and cruelty please.....Yes, the noise from her house is terrible. I can hear it all the way from my house...."

I think of you and your milky tea everytime ds2 wanders around the room drinking the dregs of other people's cups of tea, MrsF.

If the SS is anything like my HV I don't think I'd be holding my breath waiting for them to turn up.
