I would love to meet some of you, but am in London, and I suspect from reading posts here that a lot of people are SW and Bristol?

anonandlikeit Mon 25-Aug-08 18:58:04

anonandlikeit Mon 25-Aug-08 18:58:38

oh yes lets, im in the northwest but dont mind travelling, its an excuse of a day away!!!!!

anonandlikeit Mon 25-Aug-08 19:06:04

It would be easier; I could be more flexible if it were without children, well mine anyway, be more than happy for anyone else to bring there dc's I know what a PITA it can be to find babysitters.

im in W Midlands but could probably do a night away if i plan ahead!

Yes! Excellent idea - I will travel/stay overnight. Any excuse! I'm in S Yorkshire. I'd like to meet other LO, but really I'm with Riven in that I prefer an evening, parents only, civilised meal affair. You know, where you don't have to clean up messes, cut up food, have other people staring at you.....

I'll come! I'm in Devon but don't mind travelling

Could I come? Thats assuming I could get a day off, not had one for about 6 weeks hmm

coppertop Mon 25-Aug-08 22:51:46

I'm in E.Anglia too but could possibly stay overnight for a meet-up further away, depending on when it is. Dh had a weekend away to himself earlier this year so I'm owed a break.

I couldn't do a meet without kids in Bristol (am in London and DH works 6 days a week at the moment) but does anyone fancy a London meet-up with kids?

streakybacon Tue 26-Aug-08 07:12:23

I'd love to but I'm way, way up here in the frozen north east so it's not very likely.

MommyUpNorth Tue 26-Aug-08 07:21:10

I'd love to come to a meet up, but I'm probably much further northeast than streakybacon... so probably not likely to make it down. Will keep an eye on what date is decided just in case we might be in England around the time...

How about one in 2012. I am trying to convince dh what a fabulous 50th birthday present he could have if we all came back to the UK for the Olympics. His mum lives down in Kent and we would be not far from London BUT we could travel.

misscutandstick Tue 26-Aug-08 08:28:40

oooh headgirl, im just down the road from you! we used to live in sheffield - but popped across the M1 to Worksop/Doncaster/Rotherham border!

I'd be keen on a meet up. Am in London, but can and would travel.

Like Riven would prefer a nice "adult" evening.

Eidsvold with you on 2012, who knows where we'll be then, but it will be DHs 40th b'day then and even if we're no longer in London, he still wants to come back!

Im in Portsmouth but have the means to travel

I would like too, we are in the S/W (Dorset)
