Granted, it took me over a year since getting his DX to actually do the application form for DLA - but I never thought we would get it first time - was sure we would have to appeal.

One less battle to fight, anyway.

Great news!!!!

We got it first time too, and renewed with no arguments either, I was so relieved as I hated doing the forms.

He's got worse since I did the forms so he was obviously gearing up for an appeal.

Fab news SSB! (I am Doddle by the way). We have a DX for DS1 now, he has hypotonia and hypermobility, which explains a lot!

Oh my goodness, TCA! I hadn't realised that that was on the cards.

Very pleased for you. We have never had to fight/go to tribunal but I know others who have and it is horrible. Glad this is one less fight to tackle.

Have they sent you the "holding" letter ie acknowledging they have received it and are considering it?

bubblaboy is having none they wont do it yet for some reason so made complaint as been observing him for a yr now 3 mths since diagnosed and still no speech therapy driving me mad just pleased he is making progress

still its the sounds all letters are replaced with g and k still so gog the guilder etc

this is where he needs the help to produce different sounds but she is quite useless really hoping money from dla could maybe pay for private help as cant afford it otherwise
