i sent my forms in on 30th april and i have had no response back from them it was claim for them to look at the mobilty part again now ds is 5. he already recieves high rate care.
mt question is really is it normal for it to take this long with no response??
im sure i got a letter when we first ever claimed saying that they where looking at the claim.

When we claimed a few months back I def. got a letter from them saying they were looking at it - came not long after I sent it in.

one of mine took a month before i got confirmation... the other i didnt get one at all. I rang and they confirmed that they have got it. Perhaps give them a quick ring and see if that jostles it along a bit.

I've sent back a review for exactly the same reason as my boy has just reached 5. I haven't had confirmation that they are looking at the claim either (sent 2 weeks ago). I have assumed that because it is a renewal, and they had already logged the date on which I called to request a renewal pack, then I would not get a letter before their final decision.

They have to reassess the whole claim, and there may be a delay if they need to get updated medical reports etc. However they encourage you to call if you have heard nothing after 8 weeks, so I would definitely give them a call, just for peace of mind.
