Have a babies funeral tomorrow

Am dreading it.

It is a friend of mine whom I met at the SN Toy Library.

Her baby had heart probs and went in hospital in October.

He passed away last week, he was just 2 weeks off his 1st Birthday.

Can't imagine what they must be going through.

Isn't life jsut so awful sometimes?

No advice for you really, I'm so sorry for her loss. I have attended a baby funeral. The coffins are so small. It's heartbreaking. Just being there for your friend will mean alot to her. life truly sucks sometimes.

So sad to hear this - my youngest has just had his 1st birthday and the thought of ever being without him is too much to bear. Life is so cruel sometimes. I hope it goes ok tomorrow. I'm sure your friend will appreciate your support. Thinking of you all.

Thanks for your messages

you are all very suportive.

The Mum is also about 5 months pregnant, isnt sleeping at all. She sent me a text that said that the pain is Physically hurting her and they are just walking round not knowing what to do.

It is so so sad. She is a lovely person, bad things always sems to happen to the nice ones

When I visited in Hospital and her baby was on a ventilator, I could sympathise and knew how she was feeling having been through it ourselves. But thankfully our Daughter survived (just). I cant begin to imagine what they are now feeling

I went to my friend baby's funeral 3 years ago, and when DHs friend baby died a couple of months back, I was invited but I couldn't face seeing a tiny coffin again.
I hope everything goes ok (well, as well as it can IYKWIM)

ditto, it is the teeny coffin that rams it home. my baby is 11 months and I was reading about how to do emergency first aid last night. And just the descriptions of 'you will know your babies heart has stopped because she will go blue and floppy' etc. Carry your baby to a phone and call 112, continue CPR etc.
And it made me cry just imagining it, seeing her, how helpless I would feel. Was trying not to imagine it of course but couldn't help it.
