I'm a regular here and in my RL work for Ridgeway Partnership supporting adults with learning disabilities to live within our communities. (This is only one part of our work, we work with families and children right through to the elderly)
You may or may not be aware that the nhs is reforming as nhs foundation trusts and in such each nhs has to reapply under these new terms or potentially services will change.
There are currently only two nhs trusts that solely serve the learning disabled population - we are one. We serve the counties of oxfordshire, buckinghamshire, wiltshire and a weany bit of berkshire.
In order to continue to provide our specialist services we need your help and support.
If we are successful we will be the only wholly community based specialist learning disability Foundation Trust in the country
We're seeking members to join our journey. We're not asking for a lot of commitment, maybe just receiving a newsletter.
So if you are the parent/carer of or have a family member who may use our services or just a genuine interest please visit our website and register your interest.
