Waiting times for DLA for new claim 2021

Hi the DLA received my claim on the 1st April 21. Does anyone know the current waiting times. Thanks

Mine was received at the same time and I have been advised 3 months

It's backdated to when they received it though, so not such bad news.

Ours took about 8 weeks, sent late January this year.

@Sengland01 it’s backdated to the day you requested the form not the the date it was received.

I got a text this morning saying my son has qualified and will receive a letter in the next 2 weeks. It has taken only 4 weeks for a decision as they revived the form on the 1st April which is great. Good luck to those waiting a decision and hopefully won’t be too long for you all.

I also sent a form in on the 19-03 and still haven't heard back, we sent our diagnosis letter in with the form.

I sent my form on the 17th of March. I sent my sons diagnosis letter and salt report. I worked out it had been 7 weeks and I had nothing to say they were even working on it, so I rang up a few days ago.
The lady told me it had been awarded and better than I'd expected, she said I'd get a letter very soon and she ordered the payment, it went in the day after.
It seems they have a backlog so if its been a while, ring up, I think then they can pull your claim up and see if it's been looked at. Good luck everyone, glad you got yours sorted op!

I rang yesterday and the man i spoke to said i should get a decision with in the week hw said it was just down as registered, i only sent my sons SEN report and planned on sending his ot review and ed phyc report but it has only just arrived and feels pointless to send it now , im wondering would he have said anything if it said we wasnt awarded anything x

Hi @Abwill i called on Monday when they opened at 9am, the lady advised it was with the decision maker but there wasnt any notes to say what the decision was xx

Hi they received my form on the 31st March, got a message to say my son was getting DLA on the 3rd May so just over 4 weeks. I received my back dated payment on the 7th May. I provided 13 different pieces of evidence from senco letters to eye sight test to accident forms from school to photographs of his injury when he had stitches to other reports. I would refer to evidence part 1 etc etc. I took a month doing the forms and gathering all my evidence so it was there for them all to see. I treated it abit like a project and labelled it all out. Im guessing our lack of evidence has taken them longer as im gathering they will have had to contact the school and ot to verify what i have put down , im hoping for a letter next week , and hoping the got enough evidence of where ever they went although school havent mentioned anything x

My son's form was received on the 30th March, I rang up today to be told there's a delay but wasn't given a new timescale

I got message on Wed just past saying my son qualifies and to wait for letter but didn't say when to expect payment has anyone experienced thus and know how long after message they receive pay

I got a txt today saying they received my sons form but I already know they got it on the 24th June. Anyone know what that's about? Maybe it means it's being looked at??

They recieved my daughters on 21st and was scanned on to system on 24 and rang today as didn't receive and was told is in the holding que have no idea what that means but when I got off the phone I got a txt say they had recieved. Maybe ring up I waited 25min to answer phone.

Hi all first time posting on here i sent my son's form on the 31st may they didn't receive it until the 18th june i have phoned every week but was told on Friday its still in the holding queue were it has been for 4 weeks now, the fella on the phone told me it will be another 4 weeks which will tally up to 16 weeks waiting on a decision its a first application has anyone else had this before? I didn't realise it took so long Ty x

Form received on the 28th. Called today and confirmed received and on the system but claims are taking the expected 8 weeks
