My son has ASD (Diagnosed when he was 9). He's always managed fine academically, but struggles to make friends, even though he doesn't always realise the impression he is making on other children. I've been told (!!) that he comes across as bossy and domineering. He had been making good progress in school but obviously that has all changed because of Covid.
He due to start secondary school in Sept, and I'm terrified that he won't make any friends and will end up feeling left out and not enjoy school. The truth is that he is sometimes bossy, and likes things his own way, but he'd not unkind and would never do anything to hurt anyone. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can help him?
