Nephew's behaviour(1 Post)
Whilst we are in lockdown I thought I'd finally make an account - I'm looking for some advice about my Nephew (11), who is diagnosed with autism, and his recent behaviour.
Just before lockdown we had gone to my sister's house to celebrate my nephew's birthday with some family and neighbours. Whilst we were having fun playing party games in the kitchen he started to mis behave and act out. Whilst I was distracted cutting the cake, he ran up behind me and pulled my skirt down and grabbed onto the back of my knickers and yanked them partly down.
He has a history of acting out in a tantrum and whilst this type of behaviour is rare it isn't the first time that it has happened - what sort of help/advice can we seek? I've spoken to my sister about it and, whilst she certainly doesn't condone the behaviour, she is in the view that it is a phase of autism which he will quickly grow out of and that it is not a serious behavioural issue?
Any help is much appreciated!
