Travel abroad with melatonin

Did you request any specific documents from your paediatrician for travelling abroad with melatonin?

I have letters with summary of his appointments that includes melatonin being prescribed so not sure if this is sufficient or need to request something more specific.

We are going to Switzerland so think the medication itself is fine but just want to make sure I've got the correct paperwork with me.

No I’ve just taken it with us like other medication. Didn’t realise I would need documentation for it.

This is the advice

Travellers should take medication in its original pharmacy packaging, along with a copy of their prescription and letter from the prescriber. Medication should be carried in hand luggage, with an extra supply in hold luggage.

In some countries you can buy it over the counter so perhaps it depends on where you travel.

Looks like you’ve answered your own question though? Smile
