Can an older sibling be used to back up behavioural problems at home?

9yr old DD has had behavioural problems at home for years. I was dismissed by a paediatrician 3yrs ago and told to just be stricter with her . But it doesn't work and she's more violent and difficult now.

Her brother is 11 and now plenty old enough to know that dd is hard work and to talk about it. Would it be worth getting the school senco to chat to him? He's had to pull dd off me and grab her before she does something dangerous. He's also beautifully behaved at school so I'm hoping they might realise it's not me being a bad parents after all (see paediatrician Sad).

Research ADHD, ASD, PDA, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia and anything else you can think of.

Look at symptoms. Any that apply to your dd write down, and by each symptom, write one or two real life recent examples of them.

Don't attempt to diagnose but take the list to your GP and insist upon another referral to a different paediatrician.

Thanks star. I'll put something together for the gp.

Nice to see a familiar face Smile.
