My daughter whis 9 years old, nearly 10 has just be officially diagnosed with ASC (autism spectrum condition). That is correct, its not disorder, its condition. I no some people question me about it lol. Type it in google for a more understanding.
Anyway, shes very hard to look after, she lives in her own world, she has the most amazing personality and seems to have a passion for gardening and mini beasts as she calls them.
My question is, what now?? Shes got her diagnosis, what can I do now that can benefit her?? searching google doesnt seem to help, justy comes up with clubs and social workers that she would benefit from which is good but what about her personally at home?? Can I get any extra money to fund trips for her or for travel to take her to these places etc...., are there any mummy groups in Burton upon Trent that maybe of use to me?? I no she can go to the childrens centre but its hard to get there weekly on low income and no transport from where I live. I know a lot of people think its an excuse but its fact so please dont question it because its not an excuse, its fact, we can not afford it, I also have 2 other children, one with expected ASD/ASC, im currently enquiring because hes the same as my daughter, any help is welcome, thanks.
