Tourette's on its own?

Hi

My 8 year old has just been diagnosed with TS after 3 years of motor/vocal tics

I've been reading up about it and it have read that's it's nearly always linked with either ASD or ADHD?

Has anyone on here got a child with TS who doesn't have anything else?

Thanks

Yes. My youngest has just Tourette's on it's own. He sees a paediatrician once a year who is forever trying to diagnose him with ADHD, he is quite energetic and active but he makes us do an ADHD questionnaire every year, both us and the school and it always comes back with a big nope.

Funnily enough I also have an adult friend who has it who does not have any other 'co morbidities'. Is very artistic, talented musician and artist.

Thanks Bodley, We've recently filled in a Conner form ( as have school) for DS which we were told is used to diagnose ADHD. Not had the results yet. The psychologist who gave us the forms said she wasn't suggesting he had ADHD.
