looked at dd and realised she understands everything. but because of her cp she is trapped. I am normally good at not "seeing" this as it is just too much. But today I let my guard down and saw it. sounds daft i know.
how the F do you ever get your head round it.

This is her life as she has always known it. As long as she knows, and I am pretty sure she does, that she has people around her that love her and care for her, she is happy. I promise you.

I think VVV hit the nail on the head. she has never known any different. noy like she had an accident and suddenly lost loads of stuff.
she is a happy girl. very happy at home. and loved and popular at school(she got a prize in primary for her contribution to the department. the deputy couldn't keep a straight face as he gave it to her)

I feel the same. DD has severe quad CP but is bright. She can't even hold a toy. Most days she is just who she is but I see her watching other kids running around and my heart breaks. She's 3 but one day she will realise that she isn't going to get up and play. maybe she's already wondering when its going to happen for her. It hurts me on her behalf.
But then thats a mummy thing. When my eldest was hurt emotionally it broke my heart, weven little things do.
But they get on with it and we have to too.
